British cinema will host live music for the first time since the Beatles played there

A movie palace in southwest England hasn't hosted a music event since the Beatles played there in 1963. Now the Plymouth Reel plans a house/techno night for March 11.
The last time the venue was used for music was in 1967, when The Beatles held two sell-out shows on the 10th date of their 1963 Autumn Tour.

Back then the cinema was called the ABC theatre, and live shows were held there regularly during the 1960s. The last time the stage was used was for a Morecambe and Wise comedy show.
